Contact Us

Have a question, bug report, or suggestion? We'd love to hear from you. ToolPad is a small, independent project focused on providing fast, privacy-first developer utilities, and user feedback directly shapes what we build next.

What to Include in a Bug Report

When reporting a bug or unexpected behavior, these details help us diagnose and fix the issue quickly:

  • Which tool you were using (for example, JSON Formatter)
  • A description of what you expected to happen
  • A description of what actually happened
  • A sample input that triggers the behavior, if possible
  • Your browser and operating system
  • Any error messages from the browser console (press F12)

Feature Requests

Is there a developer tool you wish existed on ToolPad? We welcome feature requests. A useful request includes: what you need the tool to do, what input it would accept, what output it should produce, and a real situation in which you would use it. Concrete, scenario-based requests tend to get built; abstract wishes less so.

Response Time

We aim to respond to all messages within a few business days. During busy periods — or if a message needs research — a response may take up to a week. If something is urgent (a security concern, for example), please say so in the subject line.

Security Reports

If you believe you have found a security issue in ToolPad, please email us with "Security" in the subject line. Because every tool runs client-side, most classes of server-side vulnerability do not apply, but we take reports seriously and investigate every one. Please do not publicly disclose the issue before we have had a chance to look at it.

About the Team

ToolPad is built and maintained by a small group of working software engineers. We use the tools on the site in our own day-to-day work, which is how most of them got built in the first place: one of us needed to decode a JWT, didn't like any of the existing options, and wrote one over a weekend. The site has grown from there.

We are not a funded company, we do not sell your data, and there is no upsell path. Hosting and bandwidth are covered by advertising revenue and occasional donations.

Privacy

When you email us, we use your email address only to respond to your message. We do not add you to mailing lists, we do not share your information with third parties, and we delete correspondence once the thread is resolved unless it is useful to keep for future reference (for example, feature-request context). See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
